Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections in horses.

This powder formulation provides an alternative method of dosing doxycycline. However, the suspension formulation is often preferred because administering the powder on feed or grain containing calcium, magnesium, (and other divalent cations) can bind the antibiotic, making it less effective.
