Transmucosal Film:
This transmucosal film is a needlefree option for delivering romifidine and must be administered under the tongue. It should be placed at least one hour prior to the intended procedure for optimal efficacy.

Mechanism of Action
Mechanism of Action
Injection 10 mg/mL [1%]; 10 mL:
It acts as an alpha2 adrenergic agonist, reducing the release of norepinephrine and thereby lowering central nervous system excitability.
Transmucosal Film:
By activating alpha2 receptors, romifidine reduces sympathetic outflow, leading to sedation and mild analgesia.
